I have a quick question about this site. When you make a post or reply to one here in the forum who does not see an editor screen like in the picture below?

I would like to hear from as many people as possible on this one so that I have a better idea of whats going on. I know there is one member here at the site that doesn't get this editor screen when they post, but, we can't determine why. However, recently I had another member let me know that they dont' see this editor screen either.

NBM Editor

If you don't see this screen when you post/reply, can you let me know what internet browser you are using? (Internet Explorer? FireFox? etc.)

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Winston

I use Intermet Explorer and do not have the tool bars above the reply box or the grey band below it.

If I hit "post reply" in the blue biox I see what you have shown, if I type a "quick reply" then it just goes to the thread and you see the reply.

One quick suggestion.

I've been doing some research on the editor issue. Recently (the past week or two), other sites have been experiencing problems with the editor as well. Almost exclusively, the problem occurs for people using older versions of IE. Check and see what version of IE you are using. The most current version is "Version 8".

Although I have had no problems in the past with the editor while using IE I noticed today that the editor did not appear on my screen either. I generally don't use IE at all as I prefer Mozilla's FireFox browser. Regardless of which version of FireFox I have used I have not had any problems with the Editor, either here or any other site for that matter.

Anyways, I upgraded to IE 8 and everything seems to work fine now.

So, if you are having problems seeing this editor, I suggest that you either upgrade to the most recent version of IE or download and install Mozilla's FireFox browser (its free and much more secure than IE incidently). In case you are wondering, you can have both IE and FireFox installed on your computer at the same time and use whichever you like at any time. I know here, I use FIreFox and my wife uses IE.

If you upgrade and still have problems please let me know and I'll do some further research and see what else we can do.

Winston,

Noticed an anomaly, if I click on a link in an email from the site I get a webpage that does NOT have the reply options, but if I go straight to the home page then I get the webpage with the reply options
